While waiting, I quickly setup a Nikon SB900 flash shot thru a diffuser. I put a full CTO infront of the flash wanted to simulate a sunset effect.
However, it didn’t make sense coz the light direction wasn’t real enough to simulate a sunset.

I asked Audrey to lie down on the floor and wanted to have a bottom up angle to capture the dramatic sky. Poor Audrey lied down on the warm floor… but she still kept her charm and smile, she didn’t complain bout this idiotic photographer.

“Filtered” with KLCC

By 6pm, more and more people were coming in. Seems like Malaysians didn’t mind to pay a hefty RM188++ just to see the fireworks. I setup my Manfrotto tripod at the edge of the balcony for some sunset shots before the firework started. In Malaysia, the best sunset time is usually at 7pm till 7:45pm depending on which month of the year we’re in.

Faking a Sunset at 3pm

We saw this hut nearby and there was a man in there preparing prawn crackers for the evening crowd. Told Yvonne “Why don’t we go to the hut and take some sunset photos?”
I still remember her facial expression was like ”Huh?!! Sunset at 3pm?!! Am not standing there till 7pm for sunset”.
